Sports Therapy includes the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injury. It involves a more "hands on" approach to injury, aches and pains, with treatment techniques including; massage, soft tissue manipulation, spinal & joint mobilisations, taping, acupuncture etc.
Why choose Maximise Sports Therapy?
The Team of Therapists here at Maximise Sports Therapy are all qualified to degree standard (BSc Sports Therapy) and are professional members of the Society of Sports Therapists and/or the Sports Massage Association. This means that we are insured members and we regularly participate in CPD and training to develop & maintain our skills. Without this, how can you be sure that your therapists skills are up to date?
Many "Sports Therapists" will have completed a short course or diploma, and as our title isn't protected (yet!) in the way a Physiotherapists is, anyone can call themselves a Sports Therapist - this is where you need to be careful!
Don't Sports Therapists just treat athletes?
Yes, Sports Therapists DO treat athletes for both injury rehabilitation and prevention, BUT we also assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of aches, pains and injuries, including; back pain, postural problems, muscular complaints & work related issues.
All of our Team members have experience working with elite athletes AND the general public (who actually make up a large percentage of our client base!).
Our Therapists specialise in:
Massage (Sports, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy)
Injury & Rehabilitation (from Sport, Work or Daily life)
Acupuncture (for the treatment of Aches, Pains & Tension)
So whether you have an injury, aches & pains, tight muscles or you simply want to relax, we have a treatment for you. Not sure if we can help? Get in touch for some free advice!
